Wow, can you say out of your mind completely amazing! Arriving from the airport to the city of Granada has been an anticipation that I haven’t felt since I was seven years old expecting Christmas morning. Within the first hour of me being here you could tell that I was not from here, as I looked left and right like an excited puppy ready for a new adventure. I was taking it all in, as if it was unbelievable that I was actually here.  There is just an amazing vive that Granada has that is truly unexplainable! You walk down the streets and it is as if you know you belong. I’m  not one to usually get lost, but there have been more than one occasion, like every time I go outside, where I have had to look back to reassure myself I was on the right street.  There has been a few times where one might say that I have gotten lost, like trying to get home and ending up on the completely opposite side of the city, but I don’t like to admit to it. The thing is you want to get lost in Granada. It may be because it’s just a new city, but every time I walk outside it is a brand new adventure for me, and I absolutely love it.

First night here is more than I could ever ask for. Getting off the bus is where I met my home stay senora Lina, the funniest and sweetest old woman you could ever hope to meet. She was sure to make me feel welcome by greeting me with a great big smile and two kisses on the cheek. I also met my two housemates David and Ashlee, they have been great with helping me learn how everything works here. Although we have yet to become facebook friends, which makes me call into question our relationship. LOL A couple of hours after having taken a nap and a good needed shower, we had a delicious dinner of pollo con patatas!  Later my roommate invited me out with some of his friends, I was still a bit tired from the flight but I thought what the hay I’m in Spain! We met up with some people and headed to the Chupiteria, where you could have 1 Euro shots! I know right!! At some point in the night there were very cute Spanish chicas who were pointing and giggling maybe at the fact that we were American. Here is a fun fact, Spanish people are just plain beautiful people! Dude even the garbage man is beautiful! Anyways these girls were doing the classic point and giggle, and me not being a big fan of that decide to walk over there and drop some knowledge on them, BOOM!  I walked off as suave as the Dos X’s guy!! The highlight of the night came when we went to one of the many Kebab restaurants in the city. There is as many as five of them in one street! The guys described the kebobs to me literally as “an orgasm in your mouth”, and that it was. Holy crap, I don’t know if it was because I had one too many shots, but that was litarally one of the best things evur!! Imagine the best burrito you have ever had and Jesus came down threw that burrito away and made you something very similar, but five times more amazing!! The night ended at about 3, and believe it or not that’s calling it early! You can imagine that orientation was very fun the next morning!

There is so much that this city has to offer and can't wait to see. The mountains, the coast, Futbol, bull fights, bars in every corner, and so much more...I think I'm in for a hell of a semester. I'll keep you posted on all of the awesome things that are happening here at THE Granada!!

P.S: If no one reads this, that's cool, I got a lot of important shit to say and your missing out. At least my mom will read this (maybe) ;p
